Hello and welcome to Strong Soles Personal Training!!

Here’s a sneak peek to find out what Strong Soles is all about – My name is Rachel, but my friends call me RAS (a childhood nickname). I’m a wife, mother of two adult children and I like to run – a lot!

More importantly, I am a NASM Certified Personal Trainer with a passion for health and fitness pursuits. I’ve been a runner for over 20 years and have completed many 5k and 10ks, nearly 40 half marathons, four full marathons and two ultra-marathons. I have also completed a duathlon and a few sprint triathlons. When I’m not running, I walk my pup Stella, lift weights, bike and otherwise stay active.

You can see that I like to keep moving! That’s exactly what led me to a career in the fitness industry. Being active makes me healthy, happy and strong – both inside and out.

Let’s be real for a minute too –

  •  I’ve been overweight
  •  I’ve had good races and bad ones
  •  I’ve been injured and sick
  •  I’m not perfect

Health isn’t an outcome or a one-time status that you achieve after dieting and working out. It’s a journey. To get started, all you have to do is just take one step. Then, make it two. Little steps will lead you toward being happier, healthier, stronger YOU!

As the owner of Strong Soles Personal Training, I intend to:

  •  Share my motivation for living an active, healthy lifestyle
  •  Deliver educational resources, tips and ideas for improving overall health and fitness
  •  Provide one-on-one or group personal training services

Happiness, health and strength can absolutely be found in an active lifestyle. All you need to do is put on your shoes and get moving!
